MT. KINABALU CLIMB
VIA FERRATA (Low’s Peak Circuit)

Itinerary

Day 1

Kota Kinabalu / Kinabalu Park HQ / Timpohon Gate / Ascend / Pendant Hut (Packed lunch, Buffet Dinner)

• 0600 hrs: Pick up from hotel lobby – depart to Kinabalu Park Headquarter.
• 0830 hrs: Our guide will arrange registration and apply for your ID Tag. Meet your mountain guide.
• 0930 hrs: Transfer to Timpohon Gate, this is your starting point. The climb will take approximately 4 – 5 hours depending on your fitness level.
• 1500 hrs: Arrive at Pendant Hut @ 3,289m above sea level. Check in.
• 1530 hrs: Attend the mandatory Via Ferrata familiarization in Pendant Hut and meet your Mountain Torq trainer.
• 1800 hrs: Buffet dinner will be served at Laban Rata restaurant – overnight at Pendant Hut.
• 2000 hrs: Lights out.
  

Day 2

Walk The Torq / Descend Mt. Kinabalu / Kota Kinabalu (Early Supper, Breakfast, Lunch)

• 0130 hrs: Early supper & pack up.
• 0230 hrs: Continue journey towards the summit.
• 0540 hrs: Summit Low’s Peak @ 4,095m above sea level, catch the sunrise.
• 0600 hrs: Descend to meet your Mountain Torq trainer.
• 0630 hrs: Meet your via ferrata trainer at the 7.5 km mark for your Low’s Peak Circuit Via Ferrata experience (intermediate via ferrata, 4 – 5 hours, French grade PD)
• 1100 hrs: Arrive at Pendant Hut for a well-earned breakfast
• 1200 hrs: Check out of Pendant Hut & descend to Timpohon Gate with your Sabah Parks’ Mountain guide.
• 0400 – 0500 hrs: Arrive at Timpohon Gate. Transfer to Kinabalu Park HQ to collect your certificate and purchase some sourvenirs.
• Transfer to Kota Kinabalu, lunch en route. END OF TOUR
