Tentative Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Arrive Kota Kinabalu – meet & greet – check in hotel in Kota Kinabalu – free at leisure.

DAY 2 SANDAKAN – SELINGAN TURTLE ISLAND

Early morning transfer to Kota Kinabalu Airport for flight to Sandakan – arrive Sandakan, proceed to Sabah Parks Jetty for your boat transfer to Selingan Turtle Island – check in and free at leisure – dinner at lodge and wait for the ranger call on mother turtle landing on the shore to lay eggs – overnight at lodge.

DAY 3 SEPILOK – BILIT, KINABATANGAN

Check out and return to mainland – proceed to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre – watch a video presentation before continue to nursery and feeding platform (10am feeding time) – afterwards visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre just next door – lunch at local restaurant – another 1 hour 30 minutes’ drive to Bilit, Kinabatangan – check in and refresh, an evening river cruise awaits in search of wildlife along Kinabatangan River – return to lodge for dinner – a brief presentation on Borneo wildlife afterwards – optional night walk and night cruise – overnight at Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge.

DAY 4 BILIT, KINABATANGAN

Wake up to the chirping of birds – take an early morning river cruise in search of wildlife – return to lodge for breakfast – free at leisure or optional activity arranged by the lodge – lunch at lodge – another evening cruise at 4pm – dinner and overnight at lodge.

DAY 5 LAHAD DATU – DANUM VALLEY

Check out – overland transfer to Lahad Datu – you will be transferred to another vehicle for another overland transfer to Danum Valley – lunch upon arrival and check in at lodge – refresh before evening activity which is the guided trekking to Kawag Riverine Trail 1. Chances of sighting wildlife such as long-tailed macaque, elephants, tambadau & among others – after dinner – night drive in search for nocturnal wildlife – overnight at Kawag Danum Rainforest Lodge.

DAY 6 DANUM VALLEY

Birdwatching morning walk towards the observation tower – breakfast at lodge – another guided trekking to waterfall trail – pass through limestone cave – possibility of sighting wildlife along the way – return to lodge for lunch – another guided evening walk along Kawag River – water tubing and swimming activity is at own risk – return to lodge for dinner – overnight at lodge.

DAY 7 – 8 KOTA KINABALU

Morning walk before breakfast – free at leisure before check out in the afternoon and transfer to Lahad Datu Airport for flight back to Kota Kinabalu – Upon arriving Kota Kinabalu, transfer to beach resort for check in and overnight – free at own arrangement. Dinner at own expenses. Overnight beach resort. (Shangri-La Rasa Ria)

DAY 9 KOTA KINABALU/ ISLAND TRIP

After breakfast, transfer to Jesselton Point jetty for your Island trip. Snorkelling / diving activity, other water activities available on the island. Return to Jesselton Point jetty late afternoon. Farewell dinner. Overnight at Kota Kinabalu.

DAY 10 DEPARTURE

Check out and transfer to Kota Kinabalu International Airport for your departure flight.
